James Thorpe was
an avid outdoorsman who hiked thousands of miles in his beloved Uintah
mountains. He knew well the Lakes and spectacular peaks that were an integral
part of his life and he painted them with
understanding and clarity rarely
seen today. Sadly he
passed away the summer of 2018,
but his art remains a colorful
testament of his love of
nature's majestic Uintah
